Joseph Sramek, MD

Dr. Sramek has been on the medical staff at Wyoming Medical Center since July of 2000. Since this time, he has been involved in the care of thousands of patients with traumatic and degenerative conditions of the brain and spine, brain tumors and cerebrovascular disease.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Sramek completed his undergraduate work in Biology and Physics at Illinois Wesleyan University. He attended medical school at Rush Medical College and performed his residency training in Neurological Surgery at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center and Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Sramek has acquired extensive experience in the treatment of degenerative and traumatic conditions of the spine, traumatic brain injury, brain tumors and deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor.

Dr. Sramek is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Dr. Sramek and his wife, Deanne, feel that Casper is a wonderful community and feel fortunate to be able to raise their children, Nicholas and Maddie, here. They enjoy pursuing many of the outdoor activities that Wyoming has to offer such as hiking and skiing. They have demonstrated their commitment to the community through active involvement in organizations such as the Wyoming Symphony
Orchestra and Casper Civic Auditorium campaign.
